Seasons Greetings

seasons greetings

It’s been a great year with lots of events and activities in the North West, with Liverpool dinners and Urban cycling to help Keep us calm and living sustainably.

November saw some changes to the RSA North West team. Nick Clifford decided to step down as Fellowship Councillor and treasurer after an exceptionally busy few months with both the deadline of his doctoral thesis alongside his day job at the University of Manchester Business School.  The NW team would like to thank him for the work he has done for the region over the last few years.

Huge thanks to Kevin Donovan FRSA who steps down from coordinating the Liverpool network and his wonderful Liverpool Dinners. Peter Fell and Eric Woodcock will jointly take over this role. Congratulations to Peter Fell who was recently elected as an RSA Trustee.

We extend a welcome to our new co-opted Fellowship Councillor, Dr Erinma Ochu, one of our digital champions and our new co-opted treasurer, Rod Hyde who currently runs our successful Chester Network. You can find out more about the Fellowship Council here.

We can’t say goodbye to 2013 without remembering the vibrant, clever and lovely Emma Lindley who died earlier this year. Our hearts go out to her family.

Next year we aim to spotlight NW fellows new and old on the blog and promote a programme of activities to get the NW really engaged in turning great ideas into social action that makes a difference to the region. Thanks to everyone who put on events across the region and came along and supported fellows’ activities.

We look forward to publishing a calendar of regional events in the new year.

In the meantime we wish everyone seasons greetings… here’s to 2014.

Best wishes,

Lillian Barton FRSA, Chair RSA NorthWest

& the North West Team
